Recent Work presents a new series of photographs by Esther Rausenberg exploring the possibilities of double exposure photography.
Working with layered images, Rausenberg brings together different places, moments, and visual experiences within a single composition. The resulting photographs move between observation and memory, allowing interiors, objects, architecture, and landscape to overlap in unexpected ways.
The exhibition follows Rausenberg’s photographic explorations from the west coast of Canada to Cézanne’s studio in the south of France, creating connections between place, artistic history, and the experience of looking.

Where Urban and Natural Worlds Collide presents the work of Richard Tetrault, bringing together dynamic compositions that explore the relationship between built environments, landscape, and the natural world.
Through bold line, layered colour, strong graphic forms, and expressive mark-making, Tetrault creates images where architecture, figures, birds, and landscape intersect. His work moves between observation and abstraction, transforming familiar urban and natural imagery into energetic, highly structured compositions.
The exhibition reflects Tetrault’s ongoing interest in place and in the visual tension created when human-made environments meet the organic forms of nature.

Melanie MacDonald’s paintings depict the details of the everyday environments that surround us. Her subjects range from vintage board games, scrapbooks, and ceramic figurines to studies of fishing lures, pond life, and lichen. Using her own photographs as the basis of her paintings, she seeks to capture her subjects in just the right perspective and light with superior detail.
MacDonald regards her paintings as “visual poems that mark the brief, curious moments that punctuate the everyday.” In the tradition of still life painting, her works arrest time for the sake of contemplating the transient nature of our lives.
Melanie MacDonald holds a combined Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Arts and English from Brock University. She has exhibited in public and commercial galleries across Ontario and upstate New York. Her works are held in private collections across Canada and the United States. In addition to her studio-based painting practice, she frequently works on large-scale murals and is an active member of the Niagara Artists Centre. She is based in St. Catharines, Ontario.
